Whose speeches are the above in the Quran? The speech of Allah? The speech of Mohammed? Is this not the speech of those who were saying that the claim of heavenly origin of the Quran was a scam? We won't say much than this. You put yourselves in big troubles by claiming that the Quran came from heaven and is "the word of God" while the Christian Bible on the other hand is from men. Christians never pretended that the Bible descended from heaven. The Bible clearly bears the name of the different authors who wrote those portions.

WHO CAN PROVE TO ME THAT SURAH 72 IN THE QUR'AN IS THE WORD OF GOD? Surah 72, is titled "Jinn". Jinn means demons, evil spirits that can cause harm to people as opposed to angels of God. Jimmy means spirits that follow Satan. All the speech in this whole chapter is from these Jinn, these evil spirits. Is it Allah that is quoting the Jinn or the Jinn are speaking on behalf of Allah? Please, read this Surah and answer if this is "the word of Allah" and how this "jinnic" verses found themselves in "the speech of Allah." 15 verses from demons! Inside the Quran! Furthermore, Sura 46:29-32 also contains jinn speaking there. Here we have 4 verses of speech from jinn - inside "the speech of Allah" Why do you want to be allowing people like Ahmed Deedat to continue to deceive you?

WHO IS SPEAKING IN THE QURAN? Let us take just Chapter 1 of the Quran alone to disprove the claim that the Quran is the speech of Allah. Who is praying in the very Chapter 1 of the Quran? It says: "In the Name of Allah-the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful." Who is praying here? Is it Allah praying in his own name? Or does the Allah speaking here have another Allah? Verse 2-4 says, "All praise is for Allah-Lord of all worlds, the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful, Master of the Day of Judgment. " Who is praising who here? Whose speech is this? Allah praising and worshipping himself or worshipping another Allah? We thought there was only one Allah? Verse 5 says, "You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help." Who is the "you " and who are the "we" that are worshipping the "you"? If the Quran is the speech of Allah, is Allah plural? And who is the Allah that the Allah that (is/are) speaking here worshipping and asking "for help"? Lastly, this "speech of Allah" says, "Guide us to the straight path .... "(Sahih International and Dr Ghali translatíons) In Yusuf Ali's translation, it says, "Show us the straight way..." "Guide us to the Straight Way..." (Muhsin Khan) Who is praying to be guided to "the Straight Path" or "straight way"?? The person speaking is obviously not in "the straight path or way"; rather, he is praying to a higher Allah to guide him or them. Please, do not dismiss this area. Is the Quran indeed "the word of Allah" or it is somebody else speaking in the Quran ? Is the Quran "the speech of Allah" or the speech of someone who knew he is on a wrong path of life? As Muslims, you pray this Al Fatiha every day and several times in a day. You will pray this prayer until you die. And you have been told it is Allah that is speaking in the Quran. So, you are praying Allah's prayer to another Allah to guide you? This prayer has not been answered. That is why you have to repeat it every day till your life expires. Please, pause here and think about this. Why did this Deedat and his pupils continue to deceive their disciples who exalt this man as a great scholar?

ORIGINAL QURAN - Part 2 6. The story in the Quran of a Jesus speaking as a day-old baby (Sura 3:46; 5:110; 19:29-30) did not originate from any Allah. This story was lifted from a book of fables titled First Gospel of the Infancy of Jesus originally published in Egypt. It was already in circulation before Mohammed was born. This story in the Quran did not originate from God and the one in the Quran is not the original. Muslims talk about memory of reciters of the Quran as a sure way of preservation of the Quran. Are you aware that after the death of Mohammed there were several wars among Muslims, especially, the battle of Al Yemama, in which most of the best reciters of the Quran were slaughtered? The heads that contained much of the Qur’an were lost in battle. What happened to the contents of those heads? Because you claim that the Quran remains unchanged for these 14 centuries and you believe there was never versions of the Quran, let us show you there are more than 34 different versions of the Quran in circulation today. To mention a few, there are: 1. 'Warsh' Quran used in Algeria, Morocco, parts of Tunisia,West Africa and Sudan. 2. 'Qalun' Quran is used in Libya, Tunisia and parts of Qatar. 3. 'al-Duri' Quran used in Parts of Sudan and West Africa. 4. Hisham' Quran used in parts of Yemen. 5. 'Hafs' Quran used in Saudi Arabia. A few years ago (2016) at the Speakers Corner in Hyde Park, London, Dr Jay Smith brought out 26 different versions of the Quran physically to dismiss this myth of "no different versions of Qur'an". But in case, you do not know, much of the material in the Quran are plagiarized from other sources, let's give you a few of what you think are "The amazing sources of Islam": The "original Quran" is not from any heaven. Below are the proofs: 1. Part of Arabian idolatry is in the present practice of Islam. Some material in the Quran are from Jewish Talmud. 2. Hajj to Ka'aba was going on by idolaters and continues till today. 3. Wearing of Ihram and shaving of head during Hajj was inherited from the pre islamic idolaters. 4. Running around the Kaaba and performance of tawwaf and running between the hills of As Safa and Al Marwa were inherited from the idolaters. None of these has its origin or instruction from God Almighty. They were not new revelations brought by Mohammed. They were not by Abraham or Ishmael because these people never lived in Mecca. 5. The writer of the Quran also borrowed certain fables common among the heathen Arabs, such as the tales of Ad and Thamud and some others we see in (Surah 7: 63-77). The story of Abraham, as recorded in Sura 37:83-99, is not found in the Bible. This story was copied from a Jewish collection of folktales titled, Midrash Rabbah, already in circulation 400 years before the Qur’an was written. Jews separate their history from their fables. So, this story is not original and not a revelation that came from heaven.

This Deedat! He said Mark the author of the Gospel of Jesus according to Mark was 10 years old when Jesus was on earth. What is the authority of Deedat for this claim? None. If he assumes that Mark was 10 years old when Jesus was around and so he concludes that Mark was not qualified to write the story of Jesus, what qualifies Mohammed to write any authentic story of Jesus when Mohammed was not even born until over 500 years after the death of Jesus? It means anything Mohammed says about Jesus must be thrown away as trash. He never knew Jesus Christ. Mark knew Jesus. Mohammed was never knew Jesus. Mark lived in Jerusalem. Mohammed never stepped anywhere in Palestine. So, why should anyone trust his claims about Jesus?

ORIGINAL QURAN - Part 2 Soon after the Uthmans “Authorized Version” of the Qur’an came out, protests arose from different quarters stating that certain portions that were obviously recited by Muhammad when he was alive were not in this “Authorized King Uthman Version.” When the Shi’ite sect emerged later, members accused Uthman that about 25% of the authentic material in the Qur’an was destroyed in order to undermine the doctrinal and political beliefs of the Shi’ites. Even Aisha, Muhammad’s widow, who was also instrumental in the gathering of some of the shreds that were compiled, remembered AFTER the “Authorized Version” had come out that there were certain portions she knew existed when Muhammad was alive that were obviously missing in the new version. Those missing portions remain missing, even till today. Aisha is also quoted as saying: “The verse of the stoning, and of sucking an adult ten times were revealed, and they were (written) on a paper and kept under my bed. When the messenger of Allah expired (died) and we were preoccupied with his death, a goat entered and ate away the paper.” This is recorded by the Hadith of Abu Muslim, Ibn Maja, and Ibn Qutbah. ( Ibn Qutbah,Tawil Mukhtalafi ‘l-Hadith (Cairo: Maktaba al-Kulliyat) al-Azhariyya. 1966) page 310. An Islamic website quoted a number of Hadith as saying: "“...a sheet on which two verses, including that on stoning, were recorded were under her (Ai’sha’s) bedding and that after the Prophet died, a domestic animal got into the room and gobbled up the sheet while the household was preoccupied with his funeral.” So, some portions 9f the "original Quran" have perished in the stomach of a goat!

ORIGINAL QURAN - Where is it? There was never any original Quran existing as a book. That is history. According to the Hadith, Mishkat’ul Masabih, the Qur’an was originally written in pieces and fragments on palm leaves, camels’ ribs and shoulder blades,etc. The Concise Encyclopedia of Islam confirms that most of it was “preserved” in the memories of the reciters: “The Koran was collected from the chance surface on which it had been inscribed:‘ from pieces of papyrus, flat stones, palm leaves, shoulder blades and ribs of animals, pieces of leather, wooden boards, and the hearts of men’” Those who claim that the Quran descended from heaven, was that the original in heaven? It is necessary to point out the fact that there was no compilation of these bits of records until about thirty years after the death of Muhammad. Moreover, many of the best reciters of the Qur’an in whose “breasts” (memory) many portions of the Qur’an were preserved were slaughtered during the Jihads that followed the death of Muhammad, especially, at the battle of Al Yemama. In other words, the heads that contained much of the Qur’an were lost in battle, and so their contents irretrievably lost! Since many of the best reciters of the Quran were killed in battle, several versions, verbal and written, became prevalent in the Islamic communities after the death of the founder. On the authority of Anas ibn Maalik, many sects developed because of these various versions.The disagreement led to a series of fights to defend the different versions. It was because of this that Uthman,who succeeded Umar, gathered all the records he could see using his own discretion to determine which sayings should be accepted and which to reject and edit. He formed a four-man editorial board headed by Zaid Ibn Tabith to edit the Qur’an and come out with one copy. Uthman made sure that he collected and destroyed all the other manuscripts that others had compiled and were reciting in Syria, Iraq and Armenia: Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur’anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt. (Hadith Sahih Al Bukhari vol 6, No. 510). It is the one Uthman ordered Zaid and his editorial board to edit that eventually became the “Authorized Version” of the Qur’an. Uthman destroyed the other people’s texts, not because they were un-authentic ; all hedidwastomake sure that only one codex remained. This is, basically, was to prevent different sects from springing up because of different texts. It was a political decision. So, don't let anyone continue to deceive you that original Quran exists.

What Deedat does not tell us is that the whole of the Quran is the supposed word of Allah " ACCORDING TO MOHAMMED. Nobody was a witness to Allah talking to Mohammed. Nobody was a witness to any Angel Jubril talking to Mohammed. Nobody was a witness to any book given to Mohammed by any Allah. All the claims in the Quran are "according to Mohammed" Mohammed is the only witness to his own claims. But the Bible has many eye witnesses to what Jesus did and all he taught. Which book is more reliable? Mohammed spoke about Jesus in the Quran. But Mohammed never knew Jesus. He was never in Palestine. He never met Jesus. He never heard Him. He never met any of the disciples of Christ. Whose record about Jesus should we believe ? The record of those who knew him and followed him or the record of Mohammed who was not even born until over 500 years after the death of Jesus and all his disciples? Think about this.

What we have in the Bible is what Jesus preached and did. That is why those 4 books are called "The Gospel of Jesus Christ According to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John". Contrary to what Deedat says, the books are not called "The Gospel of Matthew...", But "The Gospel of Jesus Christ According to Matthew". It simply means the life, the teaching and works of Jesus Christ as written down by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Why did Deedat pervert simple issue?

This man Deedat claimed he was a scholar. He didn't realize that "the Gospel" was not and never is a book. The gospel means "the good news". The Good News is that God has sent His Son to save the world from its sins - whoever comes to Jesus will receive forgiveness of all his sins and have the privilege to enter Heaven. This was what Jesus preached. It is what he preached and did that were compiled in 4 books we call "The Gospel" today. So, what is the problem of Deedat?
